 TVR – is a local French television channel born in March 1987 under the name TV Rennes. Inaugurated at its launch by the President of the Republic, it was the first local television created in France. According to Mediametrie, with an average of nearly 50,000 spectators, TVR was, as of 2014, the most watched local French channel on a daily basis, in proportion to the number of inhabitants of its broadcasting area. TVR is a local general-interest channel with multi-broadcast programs, it is aimed at each of the inhabitants and not at a majority “target”.
